An impressive building from the outside, you enter into a curious architectural maze. One of the more recent additions to the 5* hotel scene in the city, this hotel draws in an elite crowd. Situated a bit further down town, the Rixos allows guests to escape from the business district to a more happening part of town. Having said that once you’re in the hotel you probably won’t want to leave. The spa (see Play) is truly extraordinary, and the restaurants, although incredibly expensive, serve delicious cuisine. Once past the vast atrium where you can take in statues of famous Kazakhstanis perched in their niches, take a glass lift to your floor. The furnishings in the rooms are lavish, but not over the top. It is worth asking for a room away from the main road and with a view of the mountains.
