Line Brew remains one of Astana’s favourite tables (just like it is in Almaty), whether the diners that flock through the doors be locals or ex-pats. Housed in a converted fire station (minus the pole) Line Brew has been redesigned like a castle, complete with a tower and crenellated parapet. It doesn’t take long to work out why Line Brew is so popular and one of Kazakhstan’s most well-established chains, as it offers predictably good food and beer. Not only does it offer its own brew, but also an impressive range of Belgian beers. The menu, meanwhile, is made up of a healthy variety of meat dishes, including thick, juicy horse and beef steaks. A good, safe option, this is no-risk dining at its most enjoyable.
