The latest addition to the well-established Sadu chain is a restaurant and café in the Keruen Shopping Centre. Located at the front-end overlooking Nurzhol Avenue, both restaurant and café – located one on top of the other – offer bright and airy resting spots. The elegant dining room downstairs – characterised by a wall made entirely from wine bottles – offers a bigger, heartier menu than the snackery upstairs with fuller dishes such as saffron-flavoured risotto. Upstairs, meanwhile, is better as a pit-stop between shops. A wide range of juices are on-hand to recharge even the weariest shopper; we recommend the Power Horse. Despite being in a shopping mall – albeit a high-end one – Sadu succeeds in being both a convenient and civilised spot in which to refuel.
