Crab Island

Calling Crab Island Beijing’s answer to the Hamptons might be a stretch but it is the largest man-made beach in China, occupying 60,000sqm. Locals and expats who want to escape from the smoggy, muggy summer in the city head here on weekends. There is a wave pool, two waterslides, and free beach umbrellas and chairs. Kiddies and their families run amuck during the day but at night the beach parties rule. How do you say bikini in Chinese?
