Lina’s now has a number of coffee shops in Beirut including Hamra Street and the ABC shopping mall, but the most atmospheric has got to be the original space in downtown. A locally owned café and sandwich bar, Lina’s has also managed to export the franchise to Paris and other Middle Eastern countries. With an overall green feel, Lina’s is a good place to have a coffee and enjoy a gourmet sandwich or pastry. It’s open and spacious, with two levels offering low tables and a range of papers and magazines. But perhaps best of all for those with laptops, Lina’s offers wireless internet access. Just buy a card from the counter and you’re off.
