Hg2 : The Hedonist

India

There are about five Indian restaurants in Beirut but India stands out for the strength of its food and its atmosphere. The men behind it – Serge Chehab, Raji Varma and Anthony Baladi – really understand the essence of Punjabi cuisine, preparing delicately spiced curries for any taste. There’s a good selection of grilled or curried vegetarian dishes as well as delicious lamb and seafood dishes, and undoubtedly the best biriani and popadoms you’ll find in the Middle East.
