Bare brick ceilings at London Calling, one of the best pubs in Bogotá, are complemented by red walls and splashes of green to create warm interiors, filled with plenty of wooden bar stools and tables crammed tightly together. There are some cheesy aspects (different dishes and drinks are named after key London figures, such as the ‘Thatcher’ and the ‘London Bus’) but the main ingredients are all here and the house-brewed beer is delicious. The food is also surprisingly good, with tasty fish and chips and an extremely decent burger. The pub is mainly filled with students and young professionals stopping in after work for a little downtime. Indeed, it’s not the place for heels or overpriced cocktails, but if you’re after a casual drink in the afternoon, then you’ll feel right at home.
