The red-and-black interior of Serafina is decorated by wine bottles slotted into poles against the wall, interspersed by the occasional flatscreen television – this is one of the classiest sports bars in Bogotá. An outside terrace provides a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a martini, while inside is more tightly-packed with loud conversations around large tables almost drowning out the electronic music. The martinis are the specialty here, with everything from key lime pie martini (made with Absolut vodka, lemon juice, and triplesec) to more traditional apple, lychee and watermelon varieties. The steak is heavy and flavourful, though if you’re in the mood for bar food the nachos are also popular. Serafina is always brimming with large groups, so be prepared for a crowded night with a great atmosphere but no real chance for conversation.
