Rarely out of Buenos Aires’ best bars lists, Sky Bar is a bastion of nightlife in the city. This open-air terrace bar, found on the 13th floor of the four-star Hotel Pulitzer, is the place for after work cocktails between October and April when the bar’s open. Every season, bartenders add to the growing cocktail menu, but the classics, like the Pulitzer Caipirinha, always make an appearance. And, for those who arrive early to grab one of the city-facing seats (totally worth it to watch the sunset, drink in hand), there’s a moreish menu of tapas to tuck into.
The terrace is clad in painted white wood, lending the Sky Bar a calm, vaguely nautical feel. But, as the sun dips behind the city skyline and the drinks keep flowing, the party really gets going, especially on Thursday nights when DJs spin out everything from electro pop and swing to bossanova.
