La Cabane des Praz at Hotel Labrador
One of the restaurants in Chamonix not for calorie counters, La Cabane des Praz is truly indulgent, but after a day on the slopes, you’ve earned it. Set in a meticulously restored log cabin at the foot of the Regere ski area, La Cabane des Praz at Hotel Labrador is mountain chic at its very best with a spacious outdoor terrace and sweeping panoramic views of Mont Blanc.
The menu combines creative French cooking and regional Savoyard dishes; choices include terrine of duck with blueberries and foie gras, snails, fried reblochon cheese with duck, pan-seared scallops, pork in honey, ginger and sesame seeds, and veal cutlet with port sauce. For a more hands-on approach, cook your own thin slices of beef on the hot stones provided.
And if all that isn’t enough to fill your ski boots, try a decadent dessert of pear tart tatin and crème brulee with Bourbon. Enough to tempt even the strictest of dieters to stray from calorie control.
