Mimolett is a must for foodies, not least because of the calibre of its 30-something head chef Murat Bozok. His first big posting was working in one of French restaurant ace Pierre Gagnaire’s kitchens in Paris, with further stints alongside Gordon Ramsay and Angela Hartnett at London’s Connaught.
After a stretch back in Paris with Joël Robuchon – as you do – Bozok is gunning for Michelin glory in the ‘bul and has a refined southern French, Italian and Turkish repertoire to aid him on his path to gastro-greatness. Osso buco with foie gras and white bean ourée sits near wild sea bass with nettle velouté on the main menu, while a degustation tasting carte takes taste to another level.
Like many hip locales in the area, minimally elegant décor, a private dining room, vast outdoor terrace overlooking the Bosphorus and a sexy bar area come with the package.
