Paris Las Vegas
‘Parisian-style hotels in Vegas?!’ I hear you cry. Yes, and there are even street performers along the Boulevard at the Paris Las Vegas hotel, where you can get authentic French pastries and chocolates from Lenotre, Paris’ top patisserie. The Paris theme never slips-even upstairs. Styled on the famous 800-year-old L’Hotel de Ville, rooms are très magnifique, decorated in pseudo-French Regency style with crown mouldings and wainscoting, stately armoires in place of closets, marble vanities and European fixtures in the bathrooms, as well as separate soaking tubs. But be warned, some are starting to say they are looking a little worn around the edges. However, ask for a room with a view of the Bellagio lake and you may not even notice. Or inquire about upgrading to the elegant Lyons suite, which has a great canopied sleigh bed, an expansive living room with period furniture, a wet bar, and an extra half-bath. If it’s available, it’s possible to upgrade for a reasonable amount.
