In the 30 years since its inception, Snob has always been associated with a journalistic crowd who never leave the office until after dark. A younger generation of scribes has since moved elsewhere, although old-timers still like to sink a beer or two.
rnThe green leather booths are conducive to long conversations, often conducted to a soundtrack of raucous laughter. In spite of the drab and fading décor, the atmosphere is still reliably lively. Along with Café de São Bento, Snob is one of the few establishments to offer a late-night menu; expect steak in Madeira sauce or jumbo sausages.
