The Marylebone Hotel

Marylebone – the London district for which The Marylebone Hotel is named – is known for the art of The Wallace Collection, the fictional home of Sherlock Holmes, and restaurants and shops like the Chiltern Firehouse and Daunt Books. In short: it’s an area well-worth exploring, and The Marylebone Hotel puts you in the thick of it.

There are hundreds of accommodations to choose from here, including stylish smaller rooms and epic suites. The pinnacle of the latter is, of course, the Marylebone Suite, which has an expansive open-air terrace (with a retractable roof – it is London, after all) with a fireplace and TV, a dining and bar area with a Julian Chichester dining table, a private dressing room and a kitchenette. The interiors are sophisticated, all polished brass and American oak, with Italian marble in the bathrooms and 100% cotton on the beds. It’s a experience begging to be indulged in, with a price tag to match its luxuriousness. But The Marylebone Hotel doesn’t skimp on the luxury anywhere in the hotel. There are marble bathrooms in the more affordable rooms, as well as high-end amenities and a stylish decor that plays on natural materials, like wood and linen, set against splashes of colour and sumptuous fabrics, like velvet.

The public spaces are similarly democratic in the availability of decadent perks. Guests at The Marylebone Hotel have access to Third Space, the fitness area and spa that offers everything from a climbing area and state-of-the-art gym equipment, to a full menu of treatments and classes. There’s even an 18-metre indoor swimming pool. And The Juicery is stocked with a sweeping range of healthy juices and smoothies that’ll make you feel healthy – whether or not you choose to actually work out.

But The Juicery isn’t the only spot for refreshments at The Marylebone – there’s 108 Brasserie and 108 Pantry, both of which are sure to sate, with menus that run the full gastronomic gamut from breakfast through to afternoon tea and dinner, all in stylish surrounds that have a little vintage flair.
