Bô-Zin used to be a little hit-and-miss in the gourmet stakes but has always had one of the better lounge bars in Marrkech. These days the food has improved to the extent that it is one of the better places in the city to eat, although the owners have taken great care to ensure it also remains popular with the party people. The bar here is a good option for drinks, particularly after dinner, and especially in the summer when it’s possible to take advantage of the large garden area, with its strategically placed sofas and lounging areas; in winter, you can sit inside on the banquettes enjoying a glass of whisky in front of a roaring fire. The atmospheric interior is great for dancing at weekends when the music gets turned up a notch and the belly-dancers are out in force. The location has its plus and minus points: you’ll need a taxi to get here (and although they’re quite cheap, this can be a hassle), but it has no neighbours to upset, so the bar can stay open as long and late as the party continues.
