Riad Malika is one of the larger riads in Marrakech set around two central courtyards. It is the home of the artist Jean-Luc Lemée, who displays the unique items that he has collected from all over the country throughout the riad. Riad Malika has twelve rooms in total, which are linked by a maze of stairs and corridors. Rooms are large and are filled with Moroccan furnishings. Most rooms have private balconies. The riad also has four living rooms that are all decorated in an eclectic mix of art deco and traditional Moroccan styles. There is a large swimming pool and bar area – which is unusual for a riad in the medina – as well as areas on the roof terrace dedicated to sunbathing. This is the perfect choice for travellers wanting a chilled out break in the sunshine while still having the bustle of Marrakech on their doorstep.
