One of the highest ski runs in Megève, Mont D’Arbois is found halfway between Megève and St Nicholas de Vercoe, and rises to a dizzying height of 1,850-metres. When you get to the top – served by three lifts from different approaches – look for the red Princess piste. Drop into a wide-open field for great powder down to the half way station of the Princess bubble. From the top of nearby Mont Joux – ride the Mont Joux or Chaillettes chairs from Mont D’Arbois to get there – you can ski the back of the mountain to Les Communailles. Riding the chair back up on the right, you’ll see a large field set amongst trees; this small field is not often skied, and offers perfect, untouched powder. From the top of the chair, bear right and ski along the ridge to take you towards Bettex. After 100-metres bear right over a field towards some trees – ski along the top of the ridge to reach the field. At the bottom there is a track that leads you back to Les Communailles.
