Hg2 : The Hedonist

A Hedonist’s guide to…

Miami

Bardot
Small but perfectly formed to soak up the decadence of a perfect night out.
Jazid
Jazid attracts an eclectic bunch of reggae rock and disappointed acid jazz lovers.
Buck 15
The bar with the coolest graffiti art and flea market sofas in Miami.
Magic City Casino
Fritter away the green stuff at Magic City Casino, which would have even non-gamblers risking it all.
Mekka
As one of Downtown's most versatile spaces, Mekka is home to four (or five) clubs in one; indeed, even the most demanding dance floor divas are sure to find something to suit their fickle moods.
Tantra
Things get feisty here after dinner, especially on Monday nights; expect the tables to be hopping with more than just cocktails as the night progresses.
Dean’s Gold
Catering for both men and women, gay and straight, this gentleman's club is widely regarded as the finest in Miami.
Mova
As is expected of Miami - and indeed, a gay lounge - Mova serves up multi-coloured cocktails amid fabulously flamboyant surroundings.
The Electric Pickle
Ignore the pretentious air of their blurb but take their own words as a hedonists call to arms - an intimate, liquor fuelled love machine - need we say more?
Twist
LIV
Gloss has a home at LIV, where glitter balls and strobe lighting abounds.
The Vagabond
Three stages keeps a seemingly endless supply of global DJ's, cool bands and quirky acts the pick of the cool bunch.
Space
Get your glow sticks swinging at this so-late-you-can-watch-the-sunrise club in Downtown; Space cranks out music by the 'Royal Family of DJs', giving you opportunity to literally dance the night away.
Club Madonna
Your only choice for strippers right here and right now on South Beach.
Purdy Lounge
Purdy Lounge is not a mantle-piece bar but it has a certain element of style.
Skyline
Joining the Mile High Club at Skyline is much easier than in the confines of a cramped toilet 30,000-feet up; with its entire concept based around air travel, it's frivolous Miami fun at its finest (and most ridiculous).
Score
Score reminds SoBe that this is still gay-friendly town; follow the large black and red target logo and do as the name suggests.
Tootsies Cabaret
Not the kind of place you would tell your family about, Tootsies leaves very little to the imagination.
Churchill’s Pub
A near perfect man-cave serving burgers, sport, live music, video games and beer all thoughtfully arranged to let unleash your inner rock-child.
The Stage
Some of the best live music in Florida served with a chilled Southern vibe.
Treehouse
Treehouse is a slightly stripped-down version of the Miami clubbing experience, with a mix of lounge bar, dancefloor room and outdoor garden to choose from.
Mynt Lounge
Golddiggers and celebrities abound at Mynt Lounge, where fame and fortune are requisites for getting past the ridiculously taut velvet ropes outside.
Mansion
A perfect example of glitzy Miami nightlife, Mansion delivers six VIP areas, five dance rooms and very pricey cocktails, but if you're looking for a piece of the celebrity scene, you can get it here.
Rec Rooms
South Beach retro club from Amy Sacco's stable promises great things...
Pasta, Paris and DJ SLOK
Electronic music genius DJ Slok, shares his thoughts on pasta, Paris and the DJ game in this quick interview.
