Teatro 7 (literally Theatre 7) is one of the newest design restaurants, which opened at the end of June in the heart of Isola, an old but emerging (especially for nightlife) district of Milan.
Rico Guarneri, the young chef (who is also a set-designer, writer and host of cookery programmes) opened this place with Claudio Colombo Severini. They have created a restaurant stage, where the kitchen is visible from the street and from the dining room. The chef-actors cook creative italian dishes such as risotto with sausage and nutmeg or veal steak with marjoram (but, in any case the menu changes every few days); everything is delicious and relatively cheap for Milan to boot.
Every monday evening Teatro 7 is a venue for book launches, art exhibitions or fashion and design events; every Tuesday Teatro 7 organizes cookery courses with the master chef himself (?40/50 for a lesson).
