Simplicity in the dishes at Mont Nery makes the spot a success among the restaurants in Monte Rosa. Built in the style of a traditional ‘Gade’ (cowshed), Mont Nery is set inside a dining room constructed entirely in stone and larch wood; its interiors, meanwhile are decked out in traditional Alpine style. The philosophy behind the cuisine is simple yet effective; the owners serve guests what they would serve to their friends. This means seasonal and regional food such as cured meats with chestnut butter and honey, and ‘chnéfflene’ (featherlight gnocci) with bacon lardoons. The impressive vaulted wine cellar is used for atmospheric wine tastings, while its contents are used to accompany mouthwatering meals.
