Pavilion is a trendy fusion restaurant in Moscow’s upmarket restaurant district, Patriarch’s Ponds.
Set on the water, Pavilion has unique views across the reflective ponds, making it particularly seductive at night. The interior decoration contrasts neutral beiges and chocolate-brown leather chairs and sofas with a splash of red.
rnDandelion-shaped lights hang from the high ceilings, creating a great sense of space in this otherwise intimate eaterie. The double-level gallery, with dining on both floors, is themed with black-and-white fashion photography.
rnThe food falls into the nouvelle cuisine bracket, with small portions and, of course, the obligatory sushi. The service is a little slow, but a trendy crowd gives Pavilion a buzzy atmosphere. Reservations are recommended.
