Brioches, crusty French loaves, and buttery croissants – either plain or chocolate filled – fill the cases. The smell of freshly baking bread wafts out of the massive oven, located in plain view just behind the counter. During Mardi Gras, La Boulangerie makes traditional French king cake, a flaky pastry filled with almond paste.
