A fairly serious and flashy house music club, popular with a young and excitable crowd, Mix attracts international Djs, and the Ministry of Sound put on regular nights here. Although it’s housed in a basement, the ceilings are high enough to stop you from feeling suffocated, even when the club is full to bursting. There are three balconies from which you can observe the mayhem on the dance-floor, and the DJ booth is covered in hundreds of little LCD screens in case the music is not electronic enough for your taste. The impressively synchronized sound and light systems are given an extra Ibiza vibe by a machine spewing out confetti at regular intervals. Outside there can be long queues, at the head of which the bouncers have been known to be obstructive, especially if you are a male-only group. On Thursdays foreigners get in for free before midnight, while Sunday is more of a gay night.
