Tucked down a side street in the heart of the Old Town, the Savic Hotel is one of the most authentic and chracterful places to stay in Prague: its 26 rooms and one suite blossom from the central courtyard of a building dating to 1319. The Gothic and renaissance style of the building is reflected in the various sizes and shapes of the rooms. Attic rooms, stone doorways and random steps add to the wood, marble and leather character of the rooms and halls.
Leather topped desks, four poster beds, mahogany furniture, high ceilings, original parquet flooring, wood beams and 14th murals juxtapose beautifully with sumptuous bathrooms and flat-screen TVs. Unfortunately, you have to pay for both internet and satellite channels.
The lift only works for the 3rd floor and above, where ice machines and small lounges improve the social aspect of the hotel. There is a fair restaurant, U dominikána, with terrace on site.
