If you’ve done all the sights and are looking for different things to do in Prague, why not learn to fly, or simply hire a pilot and plane, and take a flight around the beautiful Bohemian countryside, flying low over elegant castles and traditional villages (from 1,640kc for a 15-minute flight)? Note that F-Air is located about 20 minutes outside Prague, so to get there, you’ll have to take a taxi or hire a car.

Tel: 607 517 535 www.ballooning.cz
Ride in a hot-air balloon over the countryside and the small market towns that typify the region. It’s peaceful and slow, and a fantastic romantic option – why not organize a champagne breakfast surprise for your loved-one? The take-off is generally from Konopiste, and it’s worth taking extra time to view the castle. Prices range from 3,950kc upwards for a flight.
Tel: 241 773 454 (planes); 602 305 130 (balloons)
The airport can charter personalized sightseeing flights from this small airstrip at the edge of the city. Each plane can carry up to three passengers, but you need to book by phone at least two days in advance to set up a flight. Tocna can also offer hour-long flights over Prague in a balloon (weather permitting).
