A Hedonist’s guide to…

Prague

K.U. Cafe
Run by the same people as Cafe-Cafe opposite, KU is one of the busiest and hippest bars in Prague. Czech celebs pout and toss their hair at each other (both male and female) as eager passers-by press their less fortunate noses to the large glass wind
Duende
'Learn to talk to your friends' is an apt motto for one of Prague's more artistically shabby-chic bars. The art of conversation may be dying, but here you can share stories with friends over a drink, or maybe even make some new ones at the bar.
Kozicka
Kosicka has been around for years, and has maintained a loyal and local clientele who know and love the place. Great place to have a drink or two and introduce yourself to a local, perfect for those wanting to perfect their pidgin-Czech.
Techtle Mechtle
A favourite among young party animals, 'Hanky Panky' provides a saucy night out for those who like to drink and dance in style.
Zvonarka
The summer terrace makes this place worth a visit, the views over the Nusle Valley below, and the sprawl of the city's suburbs, are panoramic, if not exactly breathtaking. Worth a look in if you're staying nearby, but probably not worth a special tri
U Zlateho Stromu
Not all that it seems, this bar wants to be all things to all people, providing both a restaurant and a pole dancing club. Slightly seedy but conveniently placed for a fun night out.
M1
M1 is for the seriously hip young Czechs who flounce seductively on the deep red banquettes. Glamorous bar staff and overly-loud DJs control the proceedings and keep the bright young things jumping until dawn.
Zapa Bar
Refined is probably the best way of describing Zapa Bar. The customers don't tend to be beered up stag parties or drunken tourists, more sophisticated businessmen trying to impress their clients with expensive cigars and aged single malts.
