Aqua Negra is one of the fairly new bars in Rome, and one on which an elegant and sexy Italian crowd descends, especially mid-week. The location favours those who work nearby and really comes alive at aperitivo hour. The design is coolly contemporary with flickering candlelight and coloured glass. The cocktail list is ample with some inspired touches in the form of daiquiris and mandarin and lychee Martinis. If you want to blend in, wear this season’s Armani, in black of course, and don’t forget your shades.
