A Mission favourite, Luna Park feels like one of those dark, seedy bar- restaurants in San Francisco but dishes out American fare with abundant skill. The reasonable prices keep the crowd young and hip, while the superior mojitos help diners maintain a healthy outlook. Many of the menu items, like the ambiance and service, reflect a love of comfort. The food is all about hearty satisfaction via the tried-and-true route, such as Cobb salad, lemon risotto with grilled shrimp, and roast chicken. Indulge, converse, laugh, then walk to any of a dozen nearby bars. Beware the long Luna Park wait for a table though.
