A Hedonist’s guide to…

St Moritz

The Chasellas
It's extremely difficult to snag a table at The Chasellas, but once you're in you'll be treated to lipsmackingly good Swiss and international food.
Post Haus
Like a phoenix from the flames, the Post Haus has now reopened after being badly damaged in a fire. Praise the Lord.
Club Med Roi Soleil
With all facilities included, and plenty of provisions made for babies and children, Club Med Roi Soleil is a great place for a stress-free family holiday.
Viva Sportiva
Viva Sportiva is great place to hire off-piste equipment - the staff is very knowledgeable.
Cascade
Sports
St Moritz isn't all skiing! Visit the lake for a chance to participate in a range of exciting alternative sports.
Restorant Dorta
Situated in a 500-year-old farmhouse, Restorant Dorta is as charming as mountain restaurants get - accompanied, of course, by excellent local food. Try the dumplings - they really are to-dine-for.
Finale
Popular with locals, Finale is a great place to go for an after-ski beer.
Heuser
Heuser is an elegant place for a post-ski drink; indulge!
Monopol
Monopol is good value hotel with an excellent spa and restaurant. Enough said.
MTZ Heilbad St Moritz
As St. Moritz's most famous spa, Heliabad offers a variety of facilities from steam rooms and baths.
Rote Bar
Chic and upmarket, Rote Bar is an excellent place to have a relaxing drink while listening to live music and admiring the art work permanently on display in the bar.
Suvretta House
With a secluded fairytale castle feel, Suvretta House is one of St Moritz's super-stays.
Ski Cool School
A small school, with a boutique feel; Ski Cool Ski School has a number of British-trained English-speaking instructors for Brits abroad.

The views from Bergrestaurant Trutz are stunning, and the food lives up to the sights.
El Paradiso
Trendy yet traditional, El Paradiso has been described as Switzerland's finest ski hut. What else do you need to know?
Grischuna
An elegant interior compliments delicious Italian cuisine at Grischuna; we recommend the seafood.
St Moritz Ski School
One of the largest ski schools in the resort, St. Moritz School School offers English-speaking instructors on request.
Hotel Garni
A good option for travellers on a budget, Hotel Garni is centrally located with a good pizzeria and bar.
Cascade
A reasonably priced restaurant, with a stylish Art Deco interior, Cascade serves traditional Italian cuisine with flare. Both the fish dishes and the homemade pasta are delicious.
Hotel Salastrains
Hotel Salastrains is a great place to say for serious skiers; its location right on the slopes means you can get out of bed and step into your skis in the morning. Hungover or not.
Corviglia Sport
Enter Corviglia Sport, a friendly shop that sells a variety of off-piste and touring equipment.

A hotel with a long history behind it, Kulm is a great place for luxury-seeking ski bunnies.

As one of the largest outlets in St Moritz, this shop is well equipped with the latest fashions in skiwear, and offers equipment to hire as well as to buy.
Laudinella
While it may not have any trace of alpine chic about it, Laudinella is still a suitably stylish place to lay you weary head.

Calling all adrenaline junkies; slide head first down a steep hill on the Cresta Run and get your kicks.
Nolda
Housed in an attractive chalet-style building, Nolda is very well placed for skiing.
Pavarotti and Friends
Pavarotti and Friends is a cosy bar with excellent tapas. Beware of the owner, who is known for bursting into song.
Pitz de Tsechna
Pitz de Tsechna is somewhere to go directly after you ski - with a live band peforming once a week, this is a laid-back and fun place to relax.
Bodega
Small but perfectly formed, groups of friends flock to Bodega for its tapas-style menu of sharing plates and a noisy, boisterous vibe.
Talvo by Dalsass
Again, Talvo by Dalsass is is a bit of a period piece; a beautiful old farmhouse restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The food ain't half bad, either.
