Bangarra Dance Theatre
Seeing one of the Bangarra Dance Theatre’s productions is, without a doubt, one of the best things to do in Sydney. It is an insight and a journey in every sense of the word into the core of Australian indigenous heritage and culture. Each year, the dance theatre performs to 50,000 people around Australia and the world, fusing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander traditions and storytelling into explosive, haunting productions such as the critically-acclaimed Bush and Clan, made even more enchanting with the musical creativity of award-winning David Page. The theatre is set at the historic former wharf at Walsh Bay, though the company also performs at the Sydney Opera House.
