With a prime position on Town Hall Square, there are few bars better placed in Tallinn than the Wine Library; an intimate wine bar that, despite its enviable and tourist-attracting location, offers top-shelf vintages without the high price tag.
In keeping with the name of the bar, the drinks menu is called the Wine Book and showcases around 250 international wines (Old and New World, though there are currently no Estonian wines on offer) at any one time. Representing a mix of small producers and big labels, there’s plenty of choice and the staff are on hand to point aficionados in the direction of a bouquet-buster of a bottle. Wines are available by the glass as well, with the option to buy a bottle if something takes your fancy. For those looking to make a night of it, the Wine Library has a comprehensive food menu that runs the full gastronomic gamut from appetisers through to a rack of lamb and a slice of cheesecake.
