Princess of Wales Theatre
It opened in 1993 with the musical Miss Saigon and continues to showcase blockbuster musicals and touring theatre productions (past shows include The Sound of Music and Priscilla Queen of the Desert).
The auditorium is horseshoe-shaped and has two balconies above the stalls. With its plush red seating and ornate gilt flourishes it captures the grandeur of 19th-century playhouses. Its foyer has murals by contemporary artist Frank Stella.
