This is one of the few mountain restaurants in Val d’Isere where they ask if
you have booked in quiet weeks – so be sure you do! L’Edeweiss is a
seriously good restaurant over in the Fornet sector and attracts hungry
skiers from all over the Espace Killy.
Housed inside a charming chalet
with stunning views of the village below and the La Tsanteleina peak,
it’s one of Val d’Isere’s must-eats. The menu is distinguished by its range;
indeed, smoked salmon in vodka cream sauce isn’t standard mountain
cuisine, neither is tatin du fois gras. There is a strong Italian
flavour to other parts of the menu – hardly surprising as the border is
only a few kilometres away.
