Start the day by riding either the Solaise cable car or the Solaise Express chair to the summit of the same name – and be prepared for some thigh-burn on the way back down along some of the finest runs in Val d’Isere.rnHere you’ll find Piste S – a seldom-bashed mogul field that will test your technique over bumps to the max. Go round again if you want to have a crack at Piste A, which will run you conveniently back into town.rn
Other options include off-piste routes through the Danaides and La Lavancher couloirs, both marked on the lift map. The run down will take your through the trees above Le Laisinant; from here you can take the ski bus back to town if it’s late, or board the Laisinant Express up to Arolay and dive over the ridge into the Fornet sector.
