Back of Mont Fort
These runs in Verbier should only be tackled with a Mountain Guide. There are many dangers and if you have a guide then he or she will avoid these and show you some of the best off piste skiing in The Alps. There are a multitude of ways down. All start with a seemingly benign traverse but, be warned, if you slip here and pick up speed in a fall you will tumble over a cliff. Afterwards you can follow the main way down taking in couloirs, powder fields and some truly amazing high mountain scenery. You will end up at the Lac de Cleuson and after a hard walk along a seemingly endless traverse you drop down by the side of the dam to Siviez. Alternatively you can put some skins on and hike up to some of the peaks. Rosa Blanche is a particular favourite of ours and there are many, many others.
