Klaus Tscherig is Swiss and lives below Zermatt in the village of Tasch. He isn’t the loudest of guides in Zermatt, but has a sharp sense of humour that will make any lesson the slopes that little bit more fun. He has done the haute route between Zermatt and Chamonix more times than he cares to remember, and has even done it by helicopter with some wealthy private clients. His English is exceptional, and, because he works predominantly with British clients, understands our sense of humour. Klaus is a phenomenal ice-climber, too, and judges international competitions (some of which are held in his home village of Tasch). In short, he’s got more than enough experience to have you up and on in no time.
