A traditional wooden badi
in the heart of the Altstadt, Frauenbadi is one of the oldest in Zürich.
Built in 1837 as a bathing house for women, it has retained its ‘women-only’
status by day, but turns into an open-to-all bar, Barfussbar, by night (see
A rectangular, wooden construction, it has plenty of decked sunbathing
space and enclosed pools in the Limmat river. Popular and relaxed, it has a nice
little café serving fresh juices, cakes and light snacks. Booking ahead is only
required if you would like a massage. Entrance CHF 7.
