View from the Panoramapunkt in Berlin.

Now for a great view of the city of Berlin, we’ve discovered one of the best vantage points anywhere! The Panoramapunkt is uniquely located over 100 meters high in the Kollhoff Tower at the famous address Potsdamer Platz 1.

The fastest elevator in Europe takes 20 seconds to reach it, one of the Berlin’s highest open air observation terraces.

Get to the top and catch a spectacular view of all of the highlights of Berlin –  the Brandenburg Gate, the Kanzleramt, the Victory Column and the Reichstag all below.

However, there’s more than a grandiose 360-degree view of the capital city. The new open-air exhibition ‘Berliner Blicke auf den Potsdamer Platz’ connects the moving history of Potsdamer Platz with spectacular views of modern Berlin. Where else can one marvel at the past in multimedia presentation panels, then turn 180 degrees to survey the present in person? Audio guides in a variety of languages assist with viewing and understanding.

Inside the cafe.

Also brand new, the entirely glass-walled PanoramaCafe sends its guests back to the 1920s and 30s; with a cup of coffee and a delicious piece of cake at hand, the mind is free to wander back to the past. Sunset from the cafe at the end of the day is unforgettable. One level higher, on the 25th floor, one can watch the sun go down over the West Berlin skyline from the vantage of a dreamy sun terrace and enjoy the most beautiful sky over Berlin.

Open daily from 10 am until 8 pm, Entry  4,00 – 14,50 Euros
