It’s hard to believe this place is really here when you first find it. Hidden inside a not-so-attractive building on a busy street corner between Panfilov Park and the Green Market, even locals are often unaware of it. But once inside you will find a cool and cosy place to refuel. When it first opened, Cooshy Sushi was one of the first conveyor-belt sushi restaurants in the whole of Central Asia. Conveyor-belt eating no longer exists here, as the space has been transformed into a bar, but the sushi is still top-notch. And there’s more than just sushi, with a mixture of European and Asian dishes available: think club sandwiches, burgers, noodles, pastas and soups. Although Cooshy Sushi teeters more towards restaurant territory, we like to pop in to appease a petit creux.
