A newer hotel at the bottom end of Furmanov, the Voyage offers 56 clean, simple rooms, most with balconies. Whilst the hotel is built around a quiet courtyard, it’s best to request a room at the back (and on the non-smoking fifth floor) to avoid any noise from the street outside. As you’d expect, the more you pay the larger the room, and while the standard rooms are a little on the small side they are perfectly comfortable. Bathrooms tend to be compact and have showers rather than baths. The staff, meanwhile, is pleasant, speaks English and can assist with organising transfers, booking travel and the like, and the hotel’s own Amberwood Bar & Grill and Black & Brown coffee house are on-hand to provide refreshments. Attention to details comes in the form of complimentary mineral water in the rooms and the fact that the carpet in the lift changes to reflect the day of the week.
