Da Portare Via
This spot on leafy Leliegracht does pizzas and nothing else, but what it does it does very well. All their pizzas are crispy thin crust, and baked in a wood-burning oven in the traditional manner. The toppings are pretty conventional offerings, but the ingredients used are fresh and flavoursome. A snack-sized small margherita will set you back just ?5.50, while at the other end of the scale, a large pizza of tomato, mascarpone, black truffel, Parma ham, rucola, parmesan will set you back ?12.50. There’s not much seating at this branch, just a bench outside that fills up pretty swiftly, though people are welcome to perch on the canal side public benches or dangle their feet over the water if the weather’s being kind. There’s also a branch in De Pijp at Frans Hallsstraat 63, with more seating and places outside in summer.
