A beguiling new coffee house on the Left Bank, Coffee Nova provides an extensive selection of food and beverages in cool and cosy surroundings. The chocolate-coloured armchairs, snug booths and coffee-related art combine to give a relaxed lounge feel, with chic touches including groovy lighting, mirrored columns and a polished marble bar adding a hint of glamour: even the loos are glamorous. The menu is, at present, only in Russian, and besides the compulsory teas, coffees and juices there are breakfasts, sandwiches, pizzas and pastas, and more substantial hot meals, too. Coffee Nova’s sweets (of which it seems particularly proud) include croissants, muffins and cakes as well as tempting desserts such as crêpes suzette, mille feuille and profiteroles. The free WiFi and smiley staff are also helping to attract an ever-growing crowd, so we suggest getting in quick before the secret’s out.
