From the outside, Salvador Dali looks more like a run-down leisure centre than a high-octane hub – but don’t let that stop you, because inside is one of the most sumptuous places to party in Astana. It is also one of the newest, and by default one of the most popular. A few quirky decorations remind you of the club’s namesake, but otherwise this is just what you’d expect of a hip hotspot. There is a lounge room for drinks and dinner – choose from the tongue-in-cheek menu or sit back and smoke a kalyan. Step into the main room, though, and you will find a dance floor flanked by a bar, stage (with podiums for the go-go dancers) and a smattering of stylish leather armchairs and tables. The music is usually house, but check www.nightout.ru for any special guest DJs or theme nights. The perfect place to let off some steam and sidle up to a sexy stranger.
