Fusion looks like a club from the outside, not surprising as Fashion nightclub (see Party) is part of the same complex, and is one of the most happening restaurants in Astana. The menu is based around Japanese, American, Russian and European cuisine, and there is a room dedicated to each food type: the Japanese corner with funky mirrors and cosy booths; the American hall, part kitted out with zebra print chairs and part with booths covered in the stars and stripes of the US flag; and lastly, the Italian dining room, which has a more classic, refined style. For intimacy, we suggest the Japanese corner, but for atmosphere nothing beats the American area, dominated by a huge bar – and equally huge photo of Arnie – and featuring a VIP room dedicated to Elvis. And with live music from Thursday through Saturday, the atmosphere’s always spot-on, too. A cool collection of cocktails wraps things up nicely.
