Every year between December and March, ice sculptors create an Ice City on Astana’s Left Bank featuring, amongst other things, replicas of some of the world’s most famous buildings, from Big Ben to the Baiterek Tower!. Some structures include slides so bring a mat for a bit of fun. Located between the Duman Entertainment Centre and the River Ishim, Ice City is unmissable thanks to the bright, multicoloured lights that adorn it.
