Run by the Museum Inn as a secondary guesthouse property, the Bakhchasaray features just four rooms in a narrow period property in a charmingly secluded, leafy Old City square. So charming, in fact, that it’s no surprise that it’s almost always full and we were unable even to get back into the rooms for a photograph! Rooms come in two sizes here – slightly smaller ones are located on the street side of the building, while very much more spacious ones with balcony and a view over the square towards the sea are towards the front. If there is availability, it is worth requesting the larger ones. Rooms are clean and simple – indeed, some might argue they are overly simple and could use a little more decoration – but if it’s a quiet location right in the middle of the Old City you are after, The Bakhchasaray guesthouse is hard to beat.
