Hg2 : The Hedonist

Terrace Garden

At the Sultan Inn they like to do things differently and, as per the hotel and almost uniquely in Baku, small here is rightly considered beautiful. The intimate, conservatory dining room seats just 24 around an unusual central fireplace, housed in a glass pyramid, which not only provides a lovely focal point but adds a welcome cosiness and warmth. The European food is good, if not exceptional, and the service friendly and attentive. It is no surprise to find that the restaurant is often booked out. Clientele include hotel guests, sure, but also groups of well-heeled and extremely well-dressed Bakuvians of all ages. Surrounded on three sides by a broad terrace, in summer you can also dine outside with wonderful views over the Maiden Tower, just a few metres away, and the Caspian Sea beyond.
