Hyatt Apartments
If anyone can do serviced apartments in style, it's Hyatt; its 90 properties in the Hyatt Towers share the hotels' facilities and offer the kind of high-end flourishes that would please even the most discerning guest.
Hyatt Regency
Ramada
Located far enough out of the city centre to escape the hustle and bustle but not so far as to feel isolated, The Ramada offers style and substance in equal measures. Its outdoor pool is particularly impressive.
Qafqaz Point
A high-spec design scheme throughout and an on-site bar/restaurant worth talking about sees a roster of regulars check in at the Qafqaz Point.
Meridian
Despite having nothing to do with the Le Méridien group The Meridien Hotel still enjoys a central location and spacious rooms. The décor may not be as decadent as the chain of the same name would command but a planned refurb suggests there'
Metropol
Trashy but trendy nevertheless the Metropol has Baku's coolest jet-setters checking-in for a night or two of rockstar behaviour.
Landmark
Despite being open only a year The Landmark Hotel has become er something of a favourite atop Baku's iconic pink-granite office building of the same name.
Golden Coast
Glitz glamour and grandeur; Baku's hotel scene is getting a makeover and first in line is Golden Coast. Having recently opened the hotel proves that bling is still in with interiors so bright they almost blind.
Baleva
Offering a handful of rooms just off a cobbled square in the Old City Baleva is a clean comfortable place to catch 40 winks.
Boutique Palace
Expect all the opulence of an Orient Express carriage at the Boutique Palace with ever-so tasteful décor and a smarty clientele to match.
Crown
While it may not be the crowning glory of Baku's hotel scene the Crown is nevertheless a comfortable place to hanker down for those in need of 40 winks.
Ambassador
With a planned rennovation to help it hold on to its five golden stars things can only get better at the Ambassador Hotel.
Atropat
Famed for its larger-than-most rooms the Atropat offers sumptuous styling and sharp service to boot.
Austin
As one of Baku's best urban sanctuaries the Austin Hotel offers 31 rooms of chic calm in the heart of the city - yet you can hear a penny drop in the foyer.
Sultan Inn
Arguably Baku's only true boutique hotel, the Sultan Inn couldn't be more central if it tried and comes complete with a dark intimate design scheme for cosy nights in for you and a loved one (or sexy stranger).
Riviera
Despite being a bit further afield than most of our listings - it's a 20-minute walk into town - the Riviera remains a firm favourite thanks to its rock star style and stunning sea views.
Radisson Blu Plaza
With views looking out over Fountain Square and an excellent café bar and restaurant combo, Radisson Blu Plaza checks all the right boxes. Its anticipated renovation will only add to its panache.
Park Inn
The Park Inn is one of Baku's more mainstream hotel offerings but don't let that put you off; owned by Radisson/ISR Holdings it's supremely comfortable with a restaurant and bar to keep you off the streets during the small hours.
