Whilst on first appearance one might presume the abundance of mirrors and whitewashed walls to be just a little too showy, this newly renovated hotel actually boasts a brilliantly bright, opulent vibe with fantastic service added into the mix, right on the doorstep of Barcelona’s hustle and bustle. With a modest 63 rooms, it houses all the usual facilities, including a pool, sauna and an acclaimed in-house restaurant run by renowned chef Paco Pérez. Whilst this is not the place to stay if you want the full spa experience, the fantastic location right near Gaudi’s Casa Milà (and out-of-this-world comfy beds) are the perfect combination for the weary traveler to catch forty winks before heading straight into the thick of it the following morning. Alternatively, if you just want to check out that beach tan at every opportunity, this is certainly the place to admire it in its full glory.
