The 5 Rooms
Run by the gorgeous Jessica Delgado, the hotel makes every effort to make guests feel at home with books and glossy magazines spread around stylish communal lounge areas. Catering for the hungover and downright hedonistic, breakfast can be served at any time of day in the homely open-plan steel-and-brickwork kitchen area. As if you were borrowing a mate’s flat, keys to the house and main entrance are handed over when you arrive so there is no fuss in the reception area to worry about. The rooms are the high point, though, with plenty of space for yoga exercises or pilates if you are in the mood. The décor blends a retro design with eye-catching modern art in what has been dubbed the ‘cocooning’ concept (big in New York and Milan). A home-away-from-home, this is good fit for those who want to keep things simple.
